Οι 80 πιο καλοσκηνοθετημένες ταινίες σύμφωνα με το Σωματείο Αμερικανών Σκηνοθετών
Το 2016 το Σωματείο Αμερικανών Σκηνοθετών (DGA) με αφορμή την γιορτή των 80 χρόνων από την ίδρυσή του, αποφάσισε να ρωτήσει τα μέλη του «Ποια θεωρούν τα 80 μεγαλύτερα σκηνοθετικά επιτεύγματα από το 1936 μέχρι σήμερα».Τα μέλη που ανταποκρίθηκαν στο κάλεσμα του Σωματείου ήταν μόλις 2.189 (το 13.7% των μελών του). Ωστόσο παρά το θεωρητικά μικρό ποσοστό οι σκηνοθέτες με τις περισσότερες παρουσίεςι έχουν οι αμερικανικές παραγωγές –αν και δεν υπήρχε περιορισμός για το αν οι δημιουργοί των ταινιών είναι μέλη του Σωματείου ή όχι. Τις περισσότερες παρουσίες έχουν οι Stanley Kubrick και Steven Spielberg (5), ο Alfred Hitchcock (4) και ακολουθούν οι Billy Wilder, David Lean, Francis Ford Coppola και Martin Scorsese (3). Αξιοσημείωτο είναι ότι και οι τρεις ταινίες του Francis Ford Coppola βρίσκονται στην πρώτη δεκάδα. Ακολουθεί η λίστα με την κατάταξη:
